Moroccan Mint Honey Lemon Iced Tea
Share
A crisp, refreshing iced tea with cool mint, bright lemon, and just enough honey to soften the edges. This one is light, clean, and easy to sip on a warm afternoon.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Wolf Ember Moroccan Mint tea, or the amount recommended for one strong cup
- 3/4 cup hot water
- 1 to 2 teaspoons honey, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup ice
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup cold water, as needed
- Optional: fresh mint leaves and a lemon wheel for garnish
Step-by-step instructions
1. Steep the tea.
Add the Moroccan Mint tea to 3/4 cup hot water and steep according to the package directions. Brew it slightly stronger than usual so the flavor stays bright after chilling.
2. Add the honey.
While the tea is still warm, stir in the honey until fully dissolved.
3. Add the lemon.
Stir in the fresh lemon juice.
4. Cool the tea.
Let the tea come to room temperature, then chill it in the refrigerator until cold.
5. Build the drink.
Fill a tall glass with ice and pour in the chilled tea. Add a splash of cold water if you want a lighter drink.
6. Garnish and serve.
Add fresh mint leaves or a lemon wheel if desired. Serve immediately.
Pitcher version
For four servings, use 8 teaspoons Moroccan Mint tea, 3 cups hot water, 4 to 8 teaspoons honey, 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, and 1 to 2 cups cold water. Chill completely and serve over ice.
Wolf Ember tip
Taste before adding extra honey. Moroccan Mint is naturally refreshing on its own, and too much sweetness can hide the mint and lemon.
