Mango Treat Tropical Iced Tea prepared according to the Wolf Ember recipe

Mango Treat Tropical Iced Tea

A bright, tropical iced tea built around Wolf Ember Mango Treat, with pineapple and optional passion fruit for an extra layer of sunny fruit flavor. It is refreshing, easy to customize, and works well either still or sparkling.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Wolf Ember Mango Treat tea, or the amount recommended for one strong cup
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons passion fruit juice or syrup, optional and to taste
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup cold water or chilled sparkling water
  • 1 cup ice
  • Optional: fresh mango or pineapple pieces
  • Optional: mint for garnish

Step-by-step instructions

1. Steep the tea.
Add the Mango Treat tea to 3/4 cup hot water and steep according to the package directions. Brew it slightly stronger than usual so the tea flavor stays noticeable after chilling and adding fruit.

2. Cool the tea.
Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.

3. Build the tropical base.
Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in the chilled Mango Treat tea and pineapple juice.

4. Add passion fruit if desired.
Stir in a small amount of passion fruit juice or syrup, taste, and add more only if you want a stronger tropical flavor.

5. Finish the drink.
Top with cold water for a still version or chilled sparkling water for a fizzy version. Stir gently.

6. Garnish and serve.
Add fresh mango or pineapple pieces and a little mint if desired. Serve immediately.

Pitcher version

For four servings, use 8 teaspoons Mango Treat tea, 3 cups hot water, 1 cup pineapple juice, 1/4 to 1/2 cup passion fruit juice or syrup to taste, and 1 to 2 cups cold or sparkling water. Chill the tea completely before combining, and add sparkling water just before serving.

Wolf Ember tip

Taste the Mango Treat tea first before adding fruit juice or syrup. Pineapple and passion fruit can both be quite sweet, so build the drink gradually and let the tea remain part of the flavor.
