Jasmine Peach Iced Tea
Share
A light, floral iced tea that pairs Wolf Ember Jasmine with fresh peach or peach syrup. The goal is to keep the drink delicate so the jasmine still comes through instead of disappearing behind too much fruit or sweetness.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Wolf Ember Jasmine tea, or the amount recommended for one strong cup
- 3/4 cup hot water
- 1 to 2 teaspoons peach syrup, optional and to taste
- 1/2 fresh peach, thinly sliced, or 1/4 cup diced peach
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 cup ice
- Optional: small drizzle of honey
- Optional: fresh mint for garnish
Step-by-step instructions
1. Steep the tea.
Add the Jasmine tea to 3/4 cup hot water and steep according to the package directions. Avoid over-steeping so the floral notes stay smooth rather than becoming bitter.
2. Cool completely.
Let the tea come to room temperature, then chill it in the refrigerator.
3. Prepare the peach.
Add a few peach slices or diced peach to the bottom of a glass. If the fruit is very ripe, gently press it once or twice with the back of a spoon to release some juice.
4. Add the tea.
Fill the glass with ice and pour in the chilled Jasmine tea.
5. Taste before sweetening.
Taste the drink with the fresh peach first. If you want a stronger peach flavor, add a little peach syrup. Add honey only if you want extra sweetness.
6. Adjust and serve.
Add a splash of cold water if you want a lighter drink. Stir gently and garnish with fresh mint or an extra peach slice if desired.
Pitcher version
For four servings, use 8 teaspoons Jasmine tea, 3 cups hot water, 2 fresh peaches sliced or diced, and peach syrup or honey only as needed. Chill fully before serving over ice.
Wolf Ember tip
Jasmine is naturally fragrant and delicate, so use peach as a complement rather than the main event. Start with fresh fruit, then add syrup only if the drink needs more peach flavor.
